Portland Dog of the Week – Adopt El Max Stupendo!

This Great Dane is a gentle giant who loves to play and be with his family.  Please adopt El Max Studpendo (what a name!) today!  Thanks much, Callie

The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Week is El Max Stupendo (9125172). If you love big dogs, you can’t help but love this five year The Oregon Humane old Great Dane!  He’s a sweet, playful boy who’s searching for a home where he can be pampered and spoiled just like he deserves!  El Max Stupendo has spent the past few months prior to coming to the Oregon Humane Society living outside and is eagerly awaiting his return to the indoor lifestyle.  He may need a refresher course on house-training, but he should pick it back up with relative ease.  El Max Stupendo has spent no time around other animals, so we do not yet know if he wants to be king of his castle or if he will welcome other furry roommates.  Due to reactivity we are saying no cats for him.  He barks and likes to chase them.  He would do best as an only pet, or maybe with a calm, older, large dog and someone who can do a slow introduction.  He has lived with children before, but hopes that any members of his new home are big and mature enough to handle his size and enthusiasm.  El Max Stupendo enjoys playing games of fetch as well as leaning on his people out of love for them and the scratches they give. Come say hello to this amazing guy today!  You can meet with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722.  Visiting hours are 10 am to 7 pm Sunday-Wednesday; and 10 am to 9 pm Thursday-Saturday.  Adoptions end one half hour prior to closing each day.

His adoption fee of $150 includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support!  Availability is subject to prior adoption.
