Kangaroo (shelter number 127558) is the Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Week.  He is a nine year old Shepherd mix and he loves to do the things normal dogs love to do, but is a bit worried about new situations and new people.  He is very sweet and easy going once he is comfortable with his new surroundings. The best new home will be someone who has older, dog-savvy children and is willing to take things slowly with him by not forcing him into potentially overwhelming situations.  Kangaroo has lived with other dogs, both male and female, and prefers those that are smaller than him.  In the past he has also been around cats which he ignored.  If you have a canine companion a pet meet is required prior to adoption.  He is a smart fellow and has learned sit, stay, down, heel, come and drop.  Kangaroo has also learned to sit for one snap of fingers; and will lay down for two snaps.  He enjoys going for walks and being your jogging companion. Kangaroo’s adoption fee of $85includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support!  Availability is subject to prior adoption.
