Portland Dog of the Week – Adopt Nyla Belle!
Nyla Belle is a sweet pooch that likes nothing better than hanging around with her human companions. Please adopt this cool canine today! Thanks, Callie
Nyla Belle (shelter #115435) is the Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Week. She is a sweet older Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix who is looking for love in all the right places. She loves to hang with her people and is searching for a new home that is quiet and low key. She is in dire need of a walking partner that will get her into tip top canine shape. That will definitely insure that she will be with her new owners for several years to come. Nyla Belle does not like to have her belly or hind end touched and will need a home that is willing to give her the time and space she needs to become comfortably settled. Nyla Belle is a firm believer of taking one day at a time and she would like to assure you that she will be your best friend for life as long as you take things slow with her. She will need to be in an adult only home, or one with children who are old enough to be respectful of her need for space. She has lived in a home with other pets (dogs and cats) but would prefer to be the only canine in the home. If you have another dog friend at home that is as elder and low key as Nyla Belle, then a meet and greet at the shelter is essential to make sure it is an appropriate match. A training consultation will be included prior to her adoption in order to go over Nyla Belles levels of comfort. You can meet with her at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722.Visiting hours are 10 am to 7 pm Sunday-Wednesday; and 10 am to 9 pm Thursday-Saturday. Adoptions end one half hour prior to closing each day.
Her adoption fee $85 includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS I.D. tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support!
